about

Throughout its six-minute duration, 'To The Endless' moves seamlessly through an emotive narrative, utilising a dynamic vocal duet to transition from a richly orchestrated serenade to a compelling rock-infused segment. Each element is tonally perfected, gliding between sections as performatively as a dancer, wrapping up the listener in the wrenching narrative woven into the lyricism.
Stevoknievo says, "We wanted to take two tales of ordinary broken people and tell them with grace and humility. And Nick Squires' delicate string arrangements, along with the layers of piano and backing vocals, lend these tawdry stories of the everyday human experience a tender grandeur.”

lyrics

To The Endless (explicit)

Believe me when I say I'm telling you a lie
But I'm trying to keep this show on the road
And? No one's come and seen us now for years
'Cos we're such exquisite torture to behold

Gold is no longer standard
I am just a man
That has no will to change

A trail of broken promises lies in our wake
And neglect, our only child, was no mistake
It's easy with nothing to bear in mind
A frisson of indifference in this cold

Old is just where we landed
We only demanded
Punctuality of body on body
A narcotic dependence
Crawling from the remnants
Of a life that love forgot

What are we supposed to be?
Why fuck a mortal enemy?
For a pint of blood and a belly full of holes
The bedroom is a battleground
Our cries and whispers are the sound
Of unexploded ordnance underfoot

As I reach for an analogy
A full bottle in front of me
Our blissful inability
To care

What are we supposed to be?
Why fuck a mortal enemy?
For a pint of blood and a belly full of holes
The bedroom is a battleground
Our cries and whispers are the sound
Of unexploded ordnance underfoot
When they call the armistice
Too late to salvage all of this
Tale cribbed from our squalid darkened sheets
